pre-owned vintage 1965-MATTEL Barbie #1040-TITIAN SKOOTER doll-stand-box+liner+
Please check the COST of AIRMAIL SHIPPING with TRACKING listed below the description before placing a bid....this is a vintage, 1965-Mattel brown-eyed, titian-haired, straight-legged SKOOTER doll, a friend of Skipper, and she comes in her original BOX with a STAND, approximately 6-3/4" tall, and it stands straight with odd tarnish areas, more so, on its side arms. For a pre-owned doll, Skooter looks like she was not played-with much if at all since she is in generally good, clean condition. Her HAIR has that typical coarse fee to it and it shows little handling on it with red bows included and an elastic on one side and none on the other - the bows show tie creases on them as you might see in my pictures. Her FACIAL coloring is different from the rest of her, more of a beige-tinge to it; there is not much paling on the tip area of her nose; and there is no lip color except in the lip crease; her freckles are there but very light and not sure how dark they should be; there are no earring holes or attempts to make them; and her neck turns as it should with no splits. Her TORSO has few play wear rubs or scratches on it but on her back is an odd one surface rub that really only reflects in light. Her ARMS and LEGS are a bit darker in color tone than her torso and both arms hold a fairly firm pose except one is not-so-firm and her legs hold a very firm pose with knees that do not bend. All her fingers-and-toes are accounted for with no polish on them. She was found dressed as you see her in my pictures with her original TOP-looks good and bright in color tone; SHORTS-still firm around the waist and bright color tones; and red, flat SHOES, both labeled JAPAN, and in good condition. BOX: is bright in graphics and it is labeled for this doll and shows some wear on it that includes odd stain marks here-there on it, particularly, larger-darker areas on the bottom part, under the 2-parts of the liner; corners are intact EXCEPT for one on the lid that is split; and there is an odd tiny crease that doesn't show too much. The LINER is in 2-parts and there are tears on either side of the foot holes that could easily tear away; there is some staining and discoloration on it. As you read, the doll shows some handling on her and her box-liner but she will still display well in your collection! I welcome questions if more info is needed.
