    Description:
    A nice very fine banknote from the Belgian Congo. This is the 15-10-14 one Franc Matadi currency note issued by the Bank of the Belgian Congo. The banknote is black on red underprint on the front with the image of an allegorical woman seated with sheaf of wheat and a wagon wheel to the left. The front is in French and shows the serial number in black once, the date and two signatures. This particular note has the serial number 0643755 and is series "M". The back is also in red and written in Flemish with the name of the bank and the denomination. The note has no watermark neither does it have a security thread. The note is graded as 20 very fine by PMG and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. Please carefully review scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
